The Island

The Island is a brewery, bar and restaurant in Papamoa, Tauranga — home to our own beer label, Easy Lager, and five local food brands under one roof. We welcome all people, all year round. This is the Home of Easy.

The Island started with a simple idea: Papamoa needed a local. Somewhere easy — good beer, good food, no fuss, a place you could bring the whole crew or just turn up on your own and know someone.

That's still what we're about.

Easy Lager —
The Beer of the Bay

Easy Lager is brewed right here on site at The Island — crisp, cold, and made to be easy. It's the beer we built this place around, and it's best served ice cold, the way it's meant to be. Alongside Easy Lager, we also brew Pony Club Pilsner, Puha Road IPA and Easy Ginger Beer — all poured fresh, all part of the same easy philosophy: good beer shouldn't be complicated.

Family, community and a few cold ones

We're a family-friendly spot all week round, with Family Days on the 1st Sunday (free face painting) and 3rd Sunday (free balloon animals) of every month. We host live music, sports on the big screen at Sports Corner, and functions in the Tent or Conservatory — see our Functions & Events page if you're planning something.

Is Easy Lager brewed on site?
Yes. Easy Lager — the Beer of the Bay — is brewed right here at The Island in Papamoa, along with Pony Club Pilsner, Puha Road IPA, and Easy Ginger Beer. Best served ice cold.

The Island is at 20 Domain Road, Papamoa, Tauranga 3118 — right in the heart of Papamoa.

What are The Island's opening hours?
We're open 7 days, 12pm till late.

Is The Island family-friendly?
Yes. We welcome families all week, with Family Days on the 1st Sunday (free face painting) and 3rd Sunday (free balloon animals) of every month.

Does The Island have a function or events space?
Yes — We have multiple spaces available. The Conservatory seating up to 30 guests, the Function Tent seating 60 pax or 100+ standing cocktail style both for a $200 booking fee, and Sports Corner is our dedicated big-screen viewing area for game day. See our Functions & Events page for details.

Can I order online or get delivery?
Yes — order pickup, delivery or table service straight from theisland.nz, or through the Easy App, which also gives you 10% back on every order via Easy Money.

Is there parking at The Island?
Yes — Ample on-site parking is available, with Papamoa Plaza parking right next door.
